A GLIMPSE OF BORNEO
A living place.
A longer story.
Borneo is home to forests, rivers and orangutans. It is also where the story of our reclaimed Ulin begins — with wood recovered from structures that have reached the end of their use.
A place has more than one story. These photographs offer a glimpse of Borneo’s landscape and wildlife; our wood’s journey continues below.
Look closer. There is life between the pages.

Every piece is unique.Every piece has a story.
01 / THE ORIGINS
A material
with a memory.
Our reclaimed Ulin comes from Kalimantan, where wood is recovered from structures that have reached the end of their use. Old boats, roads and bridges are part of this material’s previous life.
Marks from earlier work — a nail hole, a cut, a change in colour — help tell that story. Reclaiming begins by looking at what can still be used.
What does reclaimed wood mean?

Real hands. New possibilities.02 / THE WORKSHOP
The journey
continues in Bali.
Recovered timber travels from Kalimantan to Bali by boat and truck. In the workshop, the team prepares the material, shapes the parts and finishes the objects.
Machines help with the work; skilled hands give each piece its final attention. Wood grain, existing marks and the object’s purpose all influence the result.
We work across everyday objects, gifts and custom projects. The starting point stays the same: what can this wood become next?
The next life is yours.03 / THE PROJECT
Useful objects.
Visible stories.
i-Rewood brings the story of reclaimed wood into the objects you live with. Essential explores wood in everyday forms. Fusion brings wood together with other materials. Custom starts with your own purpose.
Our aim is to make room for the material’s character while creating something that can be used, given and kept.
