From Leftovers to Legacy — Reclaiming the Reclaimed
I-Rewood was founded on the belief that nothing should go to waste — not even the offcuts of reclaimed wood. Born as a sister company to Kaltimber, we were created to give new purpose to what others overlook: the leftovers, the small fragments, the broken edges of once-grand structures.
We take reclamation a step further — giving a second life to the forgotten scraps of ironwood (Ulin) salvaged from old bridges, boats, and warehouses. These remnants, often considered unusable, become the raw material for our refined home decor objects.
Since its early days, I-Rewood has evolved under the management of Sebastien, a retired artist, singer, and composer whose global journey — from the cold weathered shores of Northern Europe to the tropical humidity of Guyana and the arid landscapes of Sub-Saharan Africa — shaped his deep appreciation for sustainable living and cultural craftsmanship. His path through these diverse environments exposed him to rich traditions, unique materials, and grounded ways of life.
This journey not only gave him inspiration but made him an easy-going, flexible, and open-minded partner — someone who brings a calm, collaborative spirit to every custom project and works closely with each client to turn their vision into tangible, timeless pieces.
We collaborate with high-end brands, private homeowners, hotels, and concept stores to produce incense holders, plaques, trays, and table accessories — each piece crafted with care, built to last, and rooted in environmental respect.

At I-Rewood, we don’t just recycle wood — we restore its value, one object at a time.
